We proudly welcome WYATT ARTHUR, born June 1, 2009 at 4:07am, weighing 6lbs, 8oz and 19 &3/4" tall.
As you can see Mom is very tired even though the delivery was smooth and easy. Mom & Dad had a long weekend, having gone to the hospital with contractions at 1 am on May 31st only to be sent home because the contractions weren't progressing. Then Mom had a wonderful SURPRISE girls day on the 31st...Mandy, Sarah Jen, and Kim took me to get a pedicure, out to lunch and to relax by the pool WITHOUT kids! (Thanks soo much ladies...it was terrific!). Then Pete and I hosted my Dad's (Papa Burke) birthday dinner. I had contractions all day long, but they really started to be painful and in a regular pattern while I was cleaning the kitchen from dinner. I waited until I really couldn't stand the pain any longer to go to the hospital, because I didn't want to get sent home again. When we arrived at the hospital at 1:30am on June 1st I was already 7 centimeters dialated...I almost didn't get my epidural...and I WAS NOT doing this without DRUGS!! The worst part about my delivery was the 6 times I got stuck with a neddle trying to get an IV started. I did get my drugs and was able to relax for a little while before our little man arrived at 4:07am. Pete and I felt like we won the lottery, having convinced ourselves that we would ONLY have girls to our surprise it was a BOY! (we didn't find out the sex of the baby at the ultrasound this time around).
Wyatt missed sharing his Papa Burke's birthday by 4 hours but does share his middle name (Papa is Aruthur G Burke), and ended up sharing his birthday with his Great Aunt Cathy.
Charlee is in love with her new baby brother and is a very big helper. She is having a hard time sharing mom with Wyatt and is being a little whiner, but we can't complain! Hope everyone can meet Wyatt soon!
Love, Sandi and Pete

My How They Grow!

I was browsing old pictures and came across Charlee's first visit to the zoo. It was April 13, 2006 and Charlee was 1 month old. We decided to take a picture at the same spot each visit as a family. Look at how she has grown from 1 month to 2 1/2 years, taken in August 2008! (we've had many more visits, but too many pictures to post!) I can't believe that my first BABY will be 3 years old on March 13th and I have a second one on the way! How is this possible!!

THANK YOU!

Dear Aunt Kristi,
Thank you for my fabulous long purple dress. This is my favorite dress and I love to accessorize (note purple shoes, purse and crown). In the first pic I have my play camera to record myself becasue I love this dress so much!
Love,
Charlee

This Princess thing is HARD work!

Looking this cute and coordinated really takes it out of a girl! The slippers much match the dress, the headband matches the broach like button on the top center (red button hidden by arms).
Dressing like a princess ALL day...Charlee wakes up and is down in the play room changing out of pj's into one of her dress outfits. Getting "normal" clothes on is like pulling teeth. When we do get dressed it must be in a dress with leggins...heaven forbid...mom wants her to wear jeans!!

SOO Grown Up!

Please note the coordinating purse...I don't know where she got this obsession with matching, god knows I am not that concerned with looking good to run errands!
Sorry we haven't updated this blog in quite a long time. Charlee will be 3 years (going on 16) next month. Her hobbies include talking back to mom and dressing like a princess.

Bedtime Story

I love when my dad reads me a betime story. I only sit still for a page or two, so you have to read fast!
